How to find us

Cape Campbell Track is situated near Ward on Marlborough’s Pacific Coast, half way between Picton and Kaikoura. You can travel by bus to the Flaxbourne Tearooms in Ward and either walk 3km to Thorpelee or arrange in advance for us to collect you from your bus. You should arrive at Thorpelee between 3pm and 5pm. Your walk briefing will be at 5pm that evening.

Driving instructions

Drive to Ward on State Highway one. Turn onto Beach Road opposite the Flaxbourne tearooms. After the road crosses the railway line and a small bridge and rounds a bend you will turn right onto Ward Beach Road. Thorpelee is on this corner and has a sign on the gate. Turn left into the driveway and park here. If you come to a ford or a second bridge you have gone too far.

Buses passing through Ward will stop at the Flaxbourne Tearooms by arrangement.
